To enter the realm of the child is a rare privilege - it takes a stout heart, a clear mind, and an eye for those things that border on the fantastic and extraordinary. It is, after all, the realm of the child. For one thing, it takes a deep appreciation for all those things that we have perhaps lost in our race to grow up and set our mark on the world, those things fantastical and other-worldly. It takes getting into the mind-set of extreme youth - to recapture that brilliance from our own youth. An environmental portrait seeks to capture that light in which the child currently lives... |

Xander is wonderfully happy, with such an infectious smile - and, in adult parlance you would say he is laid-back. He is interested in everything, and that makes it a challenge to be around him - worry the adult that meets him in school in a couple of years. His language skills are yet to form sufficiently, but you can bet one of his queries will be, Why...? and you'd best have an answer... |

It is an experience to carry Xander around for any length of time - at 6 months, he weighs enough to put a permanent crick in your arm. He struggles to move ahead in all his activities, and vents his frustrations at not being able to do all the things his older sister can do - soon enough he will master those things, and then watch out...! |
