Retirement ~ Rich Lohman
Rich has been teaching for 35 years at Albany High School, and retires at the end of the current semester, June 13, 2003. On Saturday, May 31st, his extended family threw a retirement party for him as a celebration of the closing of this chapter in his life, and the beginning of a new one. The party was held at the Laurel picnic area in Tilden Park, and the weather couldn't have been nicer. There were many speeches, all full with admiration and compliments touching on his dedication and deep devotion to his profession - and full of appreciation for all he has given over the years, not only to his students, but to the numerous families in the greater community he has touched, to the school district, and to education in general - a love-fest worthy of the guest of honor... |
